At Alliance, we use both open and closed, high-field MRIs and MRAs. Scan times usually take less than half an hour, and patients can listen to music as well as have a family member or friend in the MRI suite during the exam to help enhance patient comfort.

MR ANGIOGRAPHY
MR angiography (MRA) utilizes a powerful magnetic field, radio waves and a computer to analyze blood vessels and diagnose abnormalities or plaque disease. Ionizing radiation is not used and may need a contrast injection known as gadolinium, which has a less likely chance of causing allergic reactions than iodinated contrast material.

Arthrography is a form of medical imaging that is utilized to evaluate and diagnose unexplained pain and other joint conditions. An ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves that, without radiation, deliver live images of the inside of your body. It is safe enough to use during pregnancy and on other soft organs.
